Gratitude

Good afternoon everyone and welcome. It was great to see you all last week and I hope you are all doing well. Thank you so much for all of your support for this blog. I couldn’t have done it without your help. Today I’m writing on gratitude and how things in my life are getting better due to this simple concept.

I am overjoyed to be part of the lesfic community where I have been able to meet many other authors and my publishing company, Triplicity Publishing. It is a blessing that you are all out there creating the very thing that you love so much – writing. Writing is a picture painted with words and the books that I’ve read during 2018 were an adventure. I’d have to say that ‘Mission Compromised’ by Graysen Morgen and ‘Blue Ice Landing’ by KA Moll really stand out for me in regards to action in the story. Not to forget that I really loved the location of KA’s book. Graysen took me on a tour of many places, some with a bit of action to them. You can see both of my reviews below:

I am grateful for the little things in my life that have made it a positive difference. It can be as simple as letting a person with two items in the check out lane go before you to commenting on posts.

Another thing I’m grateful for is my health. I do what I can to stay in a healthy state of mind. This includes writing a gratitude list every day as part of my writing. Each day I write out a few pages of whatever is on my mind. I took a class last summer that showed me that this tool can be a helpful part of my daily spiritual life.

I am grateful I get to create my work and share it with you. I have worked before in an office setting and felt cramped. Here, I am my own boss and I do what I need to do to get my blog going and my books written.

While I was in Michigan over the Christmas holiday, I did some thinking and decided I am going to worry about things that were out of my control. There are times where I feel the universe is going against me when all along it isn’t. It isn’t worth my time getting upset over something that happened in the past that is now over and done with. Forgiveness and gratitude have helped me release what isn’t in my highest good.

Recently I helped out with a close group collecting new and used clean blankets for the homeless. Then we set out the next weekend to distribute them at a place called Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles where a large population of homeless people lives. It was great to be able to give them a warm blanket and a bottle of water to help them through the cold night. As a result, I felt like I had a spiritual boost.

I am putting a new perspective on things. I wake up each day and focus on what I can do to make my day better. It is as simple as reciting a positive phrase upon rising. My mantra is ‘God is the love that I am.’ I recite this in the morning and it has really helped with waking up to a new day.

I pick something to focus on each day such as a positive word and meditate on it and see where it takes me. We changed our wake-up tune to an inspirational chant that helps us remember our word for the day.

I state what I want instead of what I don’t. Goodness has been sprouting up in a variety of places. I’m allowing myself to feel joy and bliss each day. I’m no longer turning to the outside for my happiness. I have found that it was inside of me all along and it was up to me to discover it.

Lastly, my second book, ‘When Love Has Two Faces’ is in the editing stage. I’m hoping to have it published later this year. I have had fun with this book and I will tell you that my detailed outlines really helped me write the story. Here I got to move things around before the pen hit the parchment. It has been fun creating my protagonist and watching her grow.

Thank you for stopping by today. It was great to see you all. Be sure to visit next week when I’ll be featuring my review for Domina Alexandra‘s ‘A Night Claimed‘.

Until Next Time,

Namaste

Lynn
