Hello friends and welcome. Thank you for stopping by last week. It was great to see you all. Today I’m sharing with you my gratitude for your support with my blog. I couldn’t have done it without you.
I started the blog a few years ago because I wanted to reach far into the literary world. Although I mostly read lesfic books, I do read other books as well on occasion. My book list includes authors from Kory M. Shrum to Scarlett Knight and Nico J. Genes. Kory’s book is about mystery and has a thriller part to it. Scarlett’s book has strong protagonists and romance. Nico has a mix of inspiration, lesfic, and meaning. I read books because it connects me to other authors. It is important to read their work.
Another thing I do is feature authors as a guest blog here. This helps me and my readers see what is really going on with the writer’s whose books I read. I am thankful for my readers. Recently I had author Julie Forester, ‘Marmalade Martini‘ and author Scarlett Knight, ‘City Heart.’ I want to spread the word about our genre and this is a great way to do it.
I have always found comfort in reading. When I was a child, my favorite author was Judy Blume because I could relate to what she was writing about. She was progressive in her style and touched on subjects that were ahead of the time. When I was older, I discovered Mary Higgins Clark’s books. They are all mystery. My favorite Mary book is ‘Remember me’, which borderlines on paranormal. I enjoy books with paranormal and psychic stuff.
For most of my life, books have been my friend. I picked one up during my times of trials, and it would help me get through whatever I was going through because I was in another world. I found this to be the best escape one could choose. And I feel enlightened by the end of the stories.
If you are looking for a heartwarming story that will take you to beautiful places, be sure to read both ‘Magnetic Reverie‘ and ‘Reverie Girl‘ by Nico J. Genes.
Both book reviews are listed below and can be purchased on Amazon.
I will have more guest blogs. If you are looking to be a guest on my blog, just drop me an IM. I love meeting new authors and being able to encourage them to do what they do best – write.
I feel it is important to connect with those who are in your profession because they are your support system. Networking is so important in whatever field you choose to work in. These people are doing the same thing regards to getting their name out there. I believe in working together with others as opposed to being separate. I could never imagine my life without my author friends in it.
Recently my wife and I visited the Huntington Botanical Gardens in San Marino California. It was a really moving experience. This is where our pictures from this blog post are from. (The exception being the featured image which is from a trip to Hawaii).
Thank you for stopping by today. I really appreciate you. Feel free to share this link with all your followers. Next week Author JD Glass (X Chapter One: Open Sessions) will be here.
Until Next Time,
Namaste
Lynn
