Hello Everyone and a warm welcome to you. Thank you so much for your support regarding my new book, Enticed by Love. I really appreciate everything. Today I’m sharing more about it.
I have been actively editing my publisher’s notes and working on final editing.
I’m am working on my cover. I love the beach and but I want to include that this is a romance story. I have a picture in my mind and am exploring that option.
Now I’d like to talk about my characters.
I chose my main supporting character for a variety of reasons. First, she is drop-dead gorgeous and has a sexy Italian accent. Her charm is addicting and she is smart and witty. Most importantly, she holds herself in high regard and has a lot of inner strength. She is beyond her years in many ways, including her heart and her wisdom.
You will love another one of my characters. They are hands-on and stand up for themselves. They fight for what is right and are not afraid of consequences. Their loving heart really shows towards Henrietta. This player will hopefully stay with you long after you finish the book.
If you love drama you’ve come to the right place. There is one woman who is a complete snob. She is the town spokesperson who is adored by other women. There have always been tensions between this character and Henrietta. See what happens in the story.
My main character is a fiction writer and keeps a journal. The journals are special to her. About being a writer, this too comes naturally to her and she loves to read.
The timeframe. I adore the fashions and the music of earlier eras. Times were much different back then without all of today’s technology and gadgets. There were no smartphones or Xbox back then. People engaged in other sorts of entertainment. I adore the fashions and music of that time period. Although things were hush-hush, love affairs were burning up behind closed doors.
The house. It is an old Victorian pumped full of charm. These houses remind me of a time when people could sit out on their porches in the evenings without any fear. People can come over and dine out on the back patio and enjoy the sunset. Because of its age, it is full of history. It’s creaking floors add an eerie touch.
The town. I love Central California and have visited there many times. Crescent is a fictional small beach town located along the coast. Its cozy charm draws in many visitors during the warmer months. People can walk along the streets and smell the salty air. People come in from the beach to go patronize the town’s bars and other tourist attractions. The sound of the ocean can be heard throughout the small town.
Let’s now go into the world of Henrietta with some more excerpts from Enticed by Love:

Henrietta and Sophia sat down at the table in the parlor. Henrietta shuffled her deck of cards and spread them out. “What would you like to work on tonight?”
Sophia widened her big brown eyes and was silent for a moment. Gazing at Henrietta, she replied, “Am I going to be a spinster for the rest of my life?”
This request caught Henrietta by surprise. Before she asked Sophia to pick cards, she replied warmly, “Oh, I don’t have to be a psychic to know that this is not going to happen. You’re young and have your entire life ahead of you. I’m sorry you feel this way. I have a good ear if you’d like to talk.”
Sophia gave Henrietta a seductive smile and said, “Why don’t you tell me about love?”
Henrietta shuddered. A memory from her past came forward, and she saw a woman’s face in her mind. She gathered herself and took a deep breath before saying, “Oh, it usually happens when you’re least expecting it. You could be out getting your hair done, and then that person materializes. It could be love at first sight or one that develops. It’s different for each person.”
“Are you in love?”
Henrietta stiffened and sat back into her seat.
What does this woman want?
A chill went down her back. Recomposing herself, she said, “I guess I’m in love with life. No more questions. Let’s get started with your reading.”

Sophia flashed her gorgeous smile once again and said, “So why did you become interested in tarot?”
“I’ve had this gift since I was a child. I’ve always had a knowing that others don’t have. A long time ago, out of curiosity, I met up with this gypsy woman who taught me tarot.”
Great Auntie Eddy.
“It was many years after that I decided to do readings on people. Also, in case you’re interested, I’ll be holding my monthly séance soon. I can connect with those who have crossed over,” Henrietta said.
Sophia smiled warmly and said, “Sounds interesting. I’ll keep this in mind.”
Sophia then reached out for Henrietta’s hand.
Suddenly Henrietta saw a flash go through her mind. Sophia was arguing with a man, and he struck her face. This vision shocked Henrietta. How could anyone mistreat anyone as lovely as Sophia? Looking Sophia in the eyes, in a compassionate tone, she said, “He hit you, didn’t he?”
Sophia sighed loudly and brushed her forehead with her hand. In a small voice, she asked, “So you know?”

“I want him to go back to Italy and stay there. Do you see me in love again?”
Henrietta felt stuck in place. Inside she knew the answer but was hesitant to tell it. “Do you think you’re ready?”
“I think so.”
“Then be patient and allow this person to come into your life. It could be sooner than you think.”
“Well, I want to thank you for seeing me. I feel much better now,” Sophia said.
“Just let me know if you’d like another reading. I’d be happy to give you one.”
Sophia paid Henrietta, and the two of them walked to the door. Before she left, Sophia slowly turned her head to face Henrietta. In a deep voice, she said, “Oh, I think we’ll be meeting again.” Then she gave a seductive smile and winked at Henrietta. She walked outside and waved back.
