Hello Everyone and welcome. Today I am sharing with you my new release, Enticed by Love, which will be available for purchase on Wednesday 11-Mar-20.
This publication took a long time from idea to print. I first created a profile. From that, I wrote two outlines before I began with the content. The detailed outlines made a world of difference. I had a few people read it before I sent it off to my publisher.
I chose an older woman, Henrietta, because there isn’t a lot of literature showcasing this sub-genre. I want to show that love can happen at any time. Henrietta is haunted by a love that ended badly and has never been able to let it go. However, new people come into her life. Can she let go of the past so she can move forward?
My character is complex in that she has never been able to be herself. No one understands her which is frustrating. As the story goes on Henrietta begins to see life in a new light. Not everyone is weary of Henrietta. She has some allies whom you will meet in the story.
The main supporting character is a strong woman. She is not afraid of what others think of her and she isn’t shy about expressing herself; she is her own person. She encourages Henrietta to do things she never would have done otherwise.
Another supporting character is tough, yet has a big heart. They are very outspoken and not afraid to voice themselves. They, too, play a big role in Henrietta’s life.
In the story, you will find a mystery aspect as well as paranormal. Henrietta’s big Victorian house is full of secrets. I have always been interested in paranormal and psychic phenomena. Things such as clairvoyance and telekinesis impress me.
The beach town is the perfect place for this story. I love the beaches along the Central Coast in California. Crescent is a sleepy town where tourists visit in the warmer months.
I would like to share with you the blurb.
*
Henrietta Bailey is a mysterious woman who has spent her entire life living in the town of Crescent, a sleepy beach community in Central Coastal California. She loves the beach, the ocean air, and the town itself. Her simple life fulfills her. However, she spends much of her time reminiscing about her long-lost love, a woman who left her devastated.
Now, another woman awaits on the horizon; a wise, intelligent, and sexy lady who is sophisticated beyond her years. This woman yearns for her soul mate and lover. Will she be able to win Henrietta’s heart, or will Henrietta be fated to live the rest of her days alone?
All her life, Henrietta has held a gift, one that most of the townspeople fear and do not understand. Still, this doesn’t deter her from pursuing these extraordinary talents, and she does what she can to help others improve their lives. Those close to her encourage her, and new people enter the picture who offer enlightenment.
Personal secrets emerge that change the course of Henrietta’s life. Can she do the right thing and move forward?
A long-lost mystery comes to the surface, causing upset among some of the town’s residents.
Come meet this incredible woman who strives to attain the things in the world she values the most – family, love, and respect.

At 7:10 p.m., the doorbell rang. Henrietta’s heart sped up. She took a deep breath to ground herself. Putting her hands on the door, she slowly opened it.
A tall dark-haired twenty-something woman with an olive complexion stood in front of her. She wore hi-rise flared jeans, a halter top, and sandals. She had on dark makeup and red lipstick. In a deep voice and with a slight accent, she said, “Good evening, my friend.”
Henrietta stopped for a second and thought.
I’ve seen this woman.
Then she smiled and invited her in. She stopped in the foyer and said, “Wow, I love your house. It’s so enchanting.” The accent in her voice was more noticeable.
“I’ve lived here all my life and love it here,” Henrietta said. “But I don’t own it.”
“Well, you never can tell. Maybe one day you will.”
Henrietta felt a twinge in her chest. “You never told me your name on the phone.”
“Sophia.”
“Welcome, I’m Henrietta.”
Henrietta and Sophia sat down at the table in the parlor. Henrietta shuffled her deck of cards and spread them out. “What would you like to work on tonight?”
Sophia widened her big brown eyes and was silent for a moment. Gazing at Henrietta, she replied, “Am I going to be a spinster for the rest of my life?”
This request caught Henrietta by surprise. Before she asked Sophia to pick cards, she replied warmly, “Oh, I don’t have to be a psychic to know that this is not going to happen. You’re young and have your entire life ahead of you. I’m sorry you feel this way. I have a good ear if you’d like to talk.”
Sophia gave Henrietta a seductive smile and said, “Why don’t you tell me about love?”
