Giveaway!

Hello Friends and welcome! I am feeling blessed today! I want to thank all of my guests who have been on this blog. Your stories have inspired me and many others. I want to thank everyone who shared an ARC with me so I could write reviews. I have read some really cool books by awesome authors, some indie, some small press. I want to thank Adrian J. Smith and S.W. Andersen for allowing me to host their book release parties.

As a thank you for all of your support, I am giving away 2 E-book copies of my book, ‘Enticed by Love’! Thank you for all the nice reviews you’ve given me! I’m grateful to share it with you. To enter, all you need to do is either comment on this blog in the comment section or else send me and email at lynnlawlerbooks@gmail.com.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with ‘Enticed by Love,’ it is a romance with a mystery. My story takes place in two time periods when LGBTQ relationships were not out in the open. My characters had to be careful and act as if they were only friends. The book includes steamy scenes to spice things up.

The story opens with my protagonist, Henrietta, on a dark rainy night in a sleepy Central California beach town, reflecting on a major event that had just walked into her life. In one respect, she is relieved, but in another, she is surprised and confused. However, she is ready to embark on her journey as a new woman.

Henrietta is an older woman who frequently reflects on a love relationship that ended suddenly years ago. Her days are spent being of service, including assisting women in need. For the most part, she is content with her simple life although drama seems to follow her. She is a bit mystical in that she possesses gifts that not many understand, but those who do, flock to her. The question is, can the spark in Henrietta’s heart be rekindled?

Then, a beautiful, sharp woman, intelligent beyond her years comes to town. Her love for life fills her heart and radiates all around her. Having a way with words, she can tame any situation. For the most part, she thinks and acts outside the box and doesn’t back down very easily. She knows what she wants and won’t settle for anything less. Her heart aches for her soulmate to complete her life.

Paranormal phenomena, such as ESP and ghosts, intrigue me. ESP opens my imagination to the unknown where anything is possible. Abilities such as clairvoyance and telekinesis are very real to me. I believe apparations can linger in places, particularly if tragedy had happened to them there.

For as long as I can remember, I have been in love with old Victorian homes. These houses have history and represent a time when things were simpler. The old Victorian where Henrietta lives has creaky floors and on windy nights you can hear whispers echoing through the house. This house has many secrets that become exposed. The house itself gave me goosebumps as I was writing.

This story is great to read on a stormy evening in front of the fireplace. It takes about 6 hours to complete and will carry you the entire ride. Enjoy the read!

I would like to share an excerpt from the story:

At 7:10 p.m., the doorbell rang. Henrietta’s heart sped up. She took a deep breath to ground herself. Putting her hands on the door, she slowly opened it.

A tall dark-haired twenty-something woman with an olive complexion stood in front of her. She wore hi-rise flared jeans, a halter top, and sandals. She had on dark makeup and red lipstick. In a deep voice and with a slight accent, she said, “Good evening, my friend.”

Henrietta stopped for a second and thought.

I’ve seen this woman.

Then she smiled and invited her in. She stopped in the foyer and said, “Wow, I love your house. It’s so enchanting.” The accent in her voice was more noticeable.

“I’ve lived here all my life and love it here,” Henrietta said. “But I don’t own it.”

“Well, you never can tell. Maybe one day you will.”

Henrietta felt a twinge in her chest. “You never told me your name on the phone.”

“Sophia.”

“Welcome, I’m Henrietta.”

Henrietta and Sophia sat down at the table in the parlor. Henrietta shuffled her deck of cards and spread them out. “What would you like to work on tonight?”

Sophia widened her big brown eyes and was silent for a moment. Gazing at Henrietta, she replied, “Am I going to be a spinster for the rest of my life?”

This request caught Henrietta by surprise. Before she asked Sophia to pick cards, she replied warmly, “Oh, I don’t have to be a psychic to know that this is not going to happen. You’re young and have your entire life ahead of you. I’m sorry you feel this way. I have a good ear if you’d like to talk.”

Sophia gave Henrietta a seductive smile and said, “Why don’t you tell me about love?”

  1. As an older wlw I am drawn to your story of Henrietta with her thoughts of an old love and a new woman coming into her life. And she also has special abilities which I’m eager to find about.
Thanks Lynn for a chance at this giveaway.
