Thank You, Everyone!

Good Afternoon, Everyone and a warm welcome to you. First of all, I want to congratulate the winners of my book drawing for ‘Enticed by Love’ – Louisette Lépine and Marian Gravestein-Bloem. Thank you so much for entering and I will be contacting you with the ebooks.

For the past month, I have been cranking on my next book. I am preparing to get it sent off to the publisher by year end. This story came about very quickly in 2019. I finished writing last year and then took last fall off to concentrate on my German class. This semester, I’m not in school and have been doing things like this blog and reading books.

With a new book, comes great excitement. I haven’t wanted to do anything else but edit the book. This is the reason why I’ve taken a break from writing a blog. I want to thank you all who have visited my site and left me comments.

My manuscript reminds me of the Construction Documents I used to create when I was doing Architectural drafting. If you make a change to the floor plan, then you have to follow that change throughout the entire set. This is the same with my stories. I spend a lot of time when adding or subtracting plot from the story. It is important for it to be consistent through out the entire book.

This story is about a middle aged lesbian who has been out of the dating scene for some time. She experiences a bizarre event one night that erases her memory for one day. After that various things related to that one day surface, creating a complicated situation.

She meets new friends, and they are thrown into the mystery together along with a person from her past. They must work together before time runs out. What can they do to have justice served in the end? These characters experience a lot of action and some danger that will lead you along.

Love comes to the protagonist in a big way and I explore her new found feelings in the book. She does not play the field and is content being single. But as I know from experience, love comes to you at the right moment and sweeps you away. My character is only willing to be with someone who will be like her and commit 100 percent to the relationship.

Our adventures at Carbon Canyon in Brea, CA.

In my book, I take the reader to scenic places where I’ve visited and enjoyed. Recently, I went on a hiking trip with my family to Carbon Canyon, which is a wilderness park in Brea, CA. My love for hiking goes way back to the days I lived in Arizona and would take solo trips in the San Francisco Peaks in the Coconino national Forest north of Flagstaff. I get a sense of peace and serenity when I’m surrounded by foliage and trees. The picture above is in Carbon Canyon and reminds me of a tree I saw as a child growing up in Michigan.

It is fun visiting these places and writing about my experience there. My love for nature has taken me to another world. Like in my other books, my protagonist has a unique spiritual journey that includes using tools like positive affirmations, journaling, and being out in nature. I have found all of these things a blessing for me and I have experienced spiritual growth as a result of using them. I include these because I want to include a deeper depth to my players.

I am so happy to see you today and I want to thank all of you who came and visited in my absence. If you’d like to be a guest blogger here, either add a comment to this blog or send me an email to lynnlawlerbooks@gmail.com. Stay tuned for next week when Author Sarah Markel will be our guest.

Until Next Time,

Lynn
